To help make this process smooth and efficient, an application and $200 deposit per applicant is required. The $200 is fully refundable if you are not approved. If you are approved, it goes towards the security deposit on your house, which is equal to the first month's rent. The deposit is non refundable if you chose to cancel after the application has been submitted and approved.

All tenants must submit the $200 to process their applications. Example: if there are 4 people applying for one of the properties, $800 is required to process the applications, which is applied towards the security deposit for the house, equaling one month's rent. Processing time for the application takes about a week.

The application is standard and consists of employment references and previous landlords. CREDIT CHECKS ARE NOT RUN. Most students and interns enjoy this because many do not have enough credit to be considered reliable. If you are not employed or will not have income in DC, that is fine! Parents can be added to the application and the lease as a co-signer.

The application can be downloaded below and emailed to me. Once received, information will be forwarded to you on how to make the deposit. This is the fastest way to process the application as checks can be mailed but will delay the application process. By depositing or wiring the money, the application process can begin THAT day and will allow me to get back to you as soon as possible.
